Asia Venture (Central Plains)

This trip’s focus is campus ministry… but with a challenging twist of doing it in a country that is closed to the gospel!  This means you will need to be extremely teachable – learning from our in-country host and our iEdger how to effectively disciple and evangelize within firm restrictions.

Your typical week will involve:

• Coming alongside a growing number of local students in our host’s network – some of these will be young believers, some will be “almost believers”, and some will be non-believers
• Spending focused time with these students as much as possible, with daily opportunities for relaxed hang-out time, hikes, ping pong, meals, and sports
• Weekly team time at our host’s home for dinner, worship, and training
• Reaching out to new students through English Corner
• As officially enrolled language students, attending classes 4 days a week – learning an entire semester of this difficult language! (but no stress because there are no grades).

Halfway through your trip, you can invite your friends to an incredible weekend retreat nestled in a beautiful mountain setting.  Along with our in-country host, our iEdger, and local believers in their network, you’ll experience fun games and hiking, but also intentional times of deepening relationships and having opportunities to freely share your testimonies and spiritual life.

Your final days will be spent in the capital city for focused debrief and visiting several famous historical and cultural sites.

And as you are stretched beyond your comfort zone – through cultural challenges…language barriers… team dynamics… and your own limitations…  we want you to grow in your dependence on Jesus’ strength rather than your own!
