iEDGE - Southeast Asia 

Join a pioneering Navigators team in Southeast Asia as you build relationships with university students, engage the Buddhist cultural context, and help grow a Christian movement through discipleship and everyday life.

Destination

  • As in other parts of Southeast Asia, the vast majority of the populace are Buddhist.
  • University students are often shy, but when strategically engaged are open to interacting with foreigners.
  • Pioneering a ministry to these students is foundational to the long-term vision of the Navigators in Southeast Asia.

Team

  • The larger team is internationally diverse, with Americans, locals, and internationals reaching out to various focus groups
  • Three iEDGErs make up part of the larger team. One of the iEDGErs plans to wrap up his term in the coming year.

Serve

  • The iEDGE team will build and maintain a pioneering Christ-focused movement among university students as the team prays, depends on God’s word, and follows the Spirit. The iEDGE team will work to reach out to students and disciple them and their relational networks — family, friends, and classmates.

We aren’t looking for perfect people,
just recent graduates who are…

  1. Walking with God – taking personal responsibility to grow in spiritual disciplines
  2. Developing Ministry Skills – investing in people, sharing their faith, leading studies, etc.
  3. Pursuing Purity – openness rather than hiddenness (awareness of struggles, record of growth, inviting accountability)
  4. Relationally Mature – Emotionally aware, able to self-disclose, and preferably team experience
  5. Growing a Heart for the Nations – A love for people regardless of culture
