This role serves alongside laborers pioneering a work that integrates discipleship and community development within Ethiopian- and Afghan-American households. Responsibilities also include support of a training program that assists leaders and laborers in designing whole-life discipleship ministries in their contexts. This role will develop a holistic worldview in disciplemaking and value of God’s love for people pushed to the margins and facing vulnerabilities, and it will begin applying this knowledge and attitude in the context of local partnership or community mobilization as directed by the local Discipling for Development’s strategic plan. A degree in community development would be beneficial for this position but in no means required.
