Invest your summer living and discipling among the lost in Fukuoka, Japan. You will partner with local staff and join our community called BEST Club where we engage students with the gospel through English conversations, travel, sharing meals together and developing deep, life-long friendships.
Our seasoned staff will provide orientation into the culture and ministry as well as support you throughout your summer missions trip. You’ll engage students with the gospel and encourage the local staff.
You can launch into relationships with an overnight BEST camp where you will get to connect with students and build a foundation of trust for deeper conversations and friendship throughout the rest of the summer. Although we’ve structured the schedule for some weekly activities, your intentionality and initiative in meeting with students will be crucial for our ministry.
Typical weekly activities include:
- Meeting for prayer and planning
- Wednesday evening meeting with students
- English nights on Thursdays
- Friday evening prayer
- Weekends for travel and time with students
Allow God to deepen your dependence on Jesus and grow your character as you and your team navigate different challenges such as cultural stress, home sickness, interpersonal conflict, long days of work, and life in a shared housing environment.
Enjoy the depth and richness of Japanese people, culture and food as you travel with new friends and build lifelong friendships. Immerse yourself in a new world and let God expand your view of the gospel moving among the nations.
Gain a deeper glimpse into God’s heart as you share life with those who do not yet know Jesus. Expect your heart to grow big in love for the lost as you join us this summer!
