Croatia (Summer 2024)

TRIP DESCRIPTION //

Dedicate a portion of your summer to living and discipling among the people of Croatia. You will work alongside Croatian believers who are passionate about gospel reconciliation. As an expression of this, while in Croatia you will assist these believers in planning and running a summer camp for marginalized children from Roma villages.

If you enjoy working with children, sharing the gospel and your testimony spontaneously and are flexible, this could be the trip for you! You will grow in teamwork in a cross-cultural environment, by working alongside the local team to plan and run the camp. You will grow mutually with your Croatian co-counselors, as you share life and faith. During your time in Croatia, you can expect to participate in the following activities:

• Cultural orientation
• Training in working with struggling communities
• Summer camp activities (art, sports, bible skits, small groups, sharing testimonies)

Being immersed in Croatian culture and language will challenge you and your worldview as you develop long-lasting relationships with the children at the camps as well as with local believers and staff members.

Capture a glimpse of God’s heart for the nations as you as you experience three cultures coming together with a common goal of knowing Jesus. Expect your heart to become more aligned with God’s as you partner with the work He is doing in Croatia.

Applicants should be strong in their walk with God, able to share their faith with Croatians their age, willing to enter a new cultural context as a learner, and excited to engage with kids.
