Short-Term Missions Trip to Puerto Rico: Campus Ministry

Ministry in Puerto Rico is new and full of potential for growth. As you join us this summer, you will get a taste of what pioneering looks like overseas. You will go on campus to initiate conversations with students, sharing the Gospel as well as supporting local staff and encouraging believing students in the community.

Although speaking Spanish is not required, it is encouraged that you have a basic level of understanding. We are looking for students who are mature, excited to initiate spiritual conversations, and willing to be stretched and challenged.  Flexibility is huge as plans will often change in this fun, easygoing culture.

The first half of this short-term missions trip will focus on campus outreach. A normal day starts with team Bible Study in the morning. Following that you will spend a full day on campus sharing the gospel, doing surveys, and organizing games. Evenings will typically include a time of prayer and debrief.

The second part of the trip will focus on service and encouragement. Service projects will vary depending on the current needs, but may include helping the local church with manual labor. You will also have opportunities to encourage believing students in their faith by training and teaching discipleship skills.

Allow God to stretch your faith and grow your character this summer as you and your team face challenges together. Cultural stress, language barriers and working in a team are some of the ways God will expose your brokenness and move you into a deeper dependence on Jesus.

Join us this summer and get a glimpse into God’s heart for the nations. You will walk away with a deeper conviction as well as the skills necessary to live an intentional life for the Gospel.
